Leak Trace & Repair Under Floorboards — Binstead

Job location: Binstead

A customer in Binstead noticed damp and suspected a hidden leak but had no idea where it was coming from. Steve rolled back the carpet, lifted the boards, and worked through the subfloor void — old rubble foundations, corroded pipework, and very little room to move. He traced the run until the leak was found: water jetting from a joint on the service pipe beneath the floor. Located and repaired within the 2-hour slot the customer had available.

The problem

Damp indicated a hidden leak beneath floorboards, in a cramped void with rubble and corroded pipework.

Work carried out

  • Rolled back the carpet and lifted boards to access the pipe run.
  • Traced water jetting from a service-pipe joint and repaired the leak.

The recorded outcome

The leak was located and repaired within the customer's available two-hour slot.
