Shower Leak Investigation & New Tray — Ryde

A customer reported a leak but couldn't identify where it was coming from. Rather than lift the floor, Steve removed a downlighter to gain access from below and fed a camera through — revealing significant water damage and mould on the subfloor and joists beneath the shower tray. Seal failure confirmed. The customer opted for a full new quadrant shower tray and sliding door enclosure, which Steve fitted the same visit.
The problem
A reported shower leak had no obvious source, and the space beneath the tray had suffered water damage.
Work carried out
- Fed a camera through a downlighter opening to investigate without lifting the floor.
- Confirmed a failed tray seal and fitted a new quadrant tray and sliding-door enclosure.
The recorded outcome
A new tray and sliding-door enclosure were fitted on the same visit, with the finished installation shown in the gallery.
