An undetected leak from the shower tray had been silently rotting the floor timbers for years — the kind of damage that only reveals itself once the tray is lifted. Once the extent of the rot was clear, the customer decided to modernise the whole shower at the same time. Steve rebuilt the subfloor, fitted a new shower tray, and replaced the dated tiles with full aqua panelling throughout. Two days on site — the customer was showering that evening.
The problem
